Health Guarantee:
Upon purchasing one of Durden's Labrador Retrievers you assume responsibility of veterinary care and take on a lifetime commitment.  If you decide that you can no longer keep your puppy, regardless of its age, you must return him/her to us. We request that you send pictures of hte pupy as it grows and inform us of any shows or hunting trials that you compete or place in. We are available for the lifetime of the puppy.
Your puppy is guaranteed to have been dewormed and up-to-date on his/her vaccinations. These will have been done at 6 and 9 weeks of age (providing you didn't pick the puppy up sooner).  Vet records are included.  Have the puppy seen within 48 hours by your veterinarian and maintain the vaccination schedule until the pup is 6 months of age and fully protected.  If you plan on hunting, or if the puppy is to be outside alot, then you know that heart worm and flea preventative is a must.
Hips are guaranteed for 2 years and eyes for 18 months.  Should you decide to breed, make sure you do so with great care and discretion. We suggest you consider getting the hips checked by the Orthopedic Foundation of America in order to pass on only Good or Excellent hips. If you do breed it should only be with another AKC registered Labrador Retriever. If you breed you should wait until he/she is 2 years old and fullymature. If you do not plan on breeding we request that you spay or neuter your puppy in order to prevent unwanted matings.
As a buyer, you agree to keep the puppy inside as much as possible, up to date on vaccinations, and reasonably well trained. If the pup is to be a hunting dog then extended time outside for training and hunting is expected and necessary.  However, if the pup is to be a family pet or participate in conformation shows, he/she needs to be kept indoors (at least at night). Labs are very family oriented and do not like being alone or away from the family.
If, at any point in the pups life, we believe he/she is being mistreated we reserve the right to take the puppy back after speaking with you about our concerns without a positive outcome. If you give the puppy back for any other reason we will take him/her back with no questions asked.
You will be given a sample of food that the puppy is currently eating. You will also be given copies of the sire and dam's pedigree. The dam has SH, MH and AFC/FC in her pedigree and is from Beaver Creek, Rush Creek and her pedigree includes Dual CH. Banchory Painter.
Hips on the dam's side have Good and Excellent OFA ratings and there are no eye problems. The sire is a cousin to Jumpin Jack Flash.
In addition to all vet records, you will also receive a basic care sheet, training and other helpful information.

You will need to fill out the AKC forms and mail them in to receive your puppies official AKC registration certificate.  Durden's Labrador Retriever puppies are $375 and can be held with a $150 (non refundable) deposit until the puppy is 8 weeks old. Should you reserve your puppy and can not pick him/her up on the date agreed upon a $25/week boarding fee will be charged. This fee will cover any additional vet visits that come due as well as additional food costs and basic training.
