Hi I have this blog so I can send mails home, hence its not sort of a diary, its just my letters and a few pics, Sorry if you were expecting more but I'm too lazy to write a dairy always have been,





Hi folks,



Well this week has been bitter sweet. Sunday was great went out with Rish to see Thailand play the Philippines. Great game but Thailand were expected to win Philippines were the whipping boys of their group, to be fair to them lots of their players are semi-professional and they did put in a good effort.



Anyway we had a great time, and you can see this, yes see this on

I took some very basic footage with my camera which I can get about ten minutes of video on, at a time. I've uploaded 4 films so far,

pics of people wearing yellow to celebrate the King if you don't live in bangkok and haven't see this it could be interesting, but the titles are a bit difficult to read I'm learning how to make them better as I go.



Thailand v Philippines,



Good fun, good lao kao (Thai home brew whiskey) I can add subtitles to this if anyone really wants them. The best part is when The Official Thai Mascot persuades me to help him do some cheering, ( I got a free footy shirt for this too)



Boxed In?



This is the footage a took of the Rachel Whitehead installation at the Tate modern last year. This is the one thing I would genuinely recommend, I spent all Friday editing it, so hope you like it. I guess this is more productive than a Friday night out getting wasted losing my phone.



As you may have guessed I now have the internet hooked up to my apartment, it was 8 quid a month so I thought I'd give it a go for one month now I'm addicted to youtube.com, no really I spent the last two Friday nights in mucking around on it. Its starting to rule my life. So I'm gonna have a bit of a break from the net. As you buy time in one month blocks I'm going to have a two week break at the end of this month.



On the subject of short videos, I saw a really good movie the other day, "Lumiere" , various famous film directors are give the original Lumiere camera and they have to make a 50 second short film, maximum three takes and no synced sound. (just sound that they could play over the movie from other sources). The directors talk about why they direct some funny answers.





Well apart from mucking about on youtube, the sweet part of this week has been I got to meet my uncle Jerry and my new aunt Merdisa. They were on their way to the Philippines so they popped in to say hi, and also to change their return portion of their ticket, they want to stop off in sri lanka on their way back.



I went out to Kaao San with Jerry and Merdisa for a meal, and met up with Tim and a couple of his friends. We went out to Adhere a cool blues/jazz bar on sam sen.



The next day, Me, Jerry,  Merdisa, Rish and Rish's girlfriend all went out to the Irish exchange. Sadly it was to say good bye to everyone, jerry and merdisa  were only staying two nights and Rish has had to go back home because his father is ill. Good time was had by all and I'm sure I'll meet up with everyone again just not sure when.



Now I'm off to play Go in soi convent, where I will no doubt be beaten by a 7 year old child its a very humbling experience, well it'll give me inspiration to get better I guess.
