Wh0 say you need a high-end ASUS motherboard or EEE Box to enjoy the 5 second instant boot to Internet ? 

Follow the instructions in this thread in HKPUG forum and you can boot the Splashtop from a SD card for thumbdrive without touching the OS installed in your EEE PC 701!
