flat as a pancake : January 3, 2007
i finally did it -- broke down and bought flat-screen television. it's a LCD Samsung 32" tv. on sale. not bad, huh? it's unbelievable how much room it saves in a small apt! i also bought the white stand it's on at crate and barrel -- floor sample. 'cause i'm a bargain hunter like that! the amazing thing though; is all the other stuff you have to get to take full advantage of the tv quality - new cables - i have to give up my tivo, since it does not broadcast in HD - and apparently i should get a newer, better DVD player. whatever, for now - just happy that it looks nice - and that I can see the sports ticker and scores that used to be cut off by my old tv's aspect ratio.
