Genre - The classifications of literature.



Classifications: Poetry, Plays, Prose, Fiction, Non-fiction, and Folktales.



Prose: Any kind of writing that is not a poetry or play.



Fiction: A type of writing that is not true.



Non-fiction: Autobiography, biography, memoirs, lettters, references, periodicals, newspapers...etc.



Folktale: Passed down by oral tradition....(story anyway)





remember to just go over these so that if you are going to take the quiz that you are prepared. I guess that Stephen deceided that he would just do it for one day. I know that the whole Licking High School in Texas is going to take the genre quiz. So everybody should at least give it a shot.
