This is my first blog entry.  Probably not going to be much earth shattering in terms of how the world runs or items that will affect the mass of humanity.  But it will provide a mechanism of providing information to the family and letting them keep up.

I am in my 40's (latter part of that decade I'm afraid), married, 3 children and 3 grand children (one per child so far).  I live in Northeast Florida outside Jacksonville in the same town where I was born.  I wasn't raised here but at times I wish I had been.

I am currently employed by CACI, a DoD Contractor, as a computer analyst and retired from the Navy during the Clinton drawdown years after 18 years as a cryptologist. 

In my spare time I work on my computer and plan on how to spend my free time.  I have several hobbies (who doesn't) some take up more time than others.  The top four are my comptuer, modeling (plastic not clothing), Jeeping and (shhhhh don't tell) my motorcycle.

I don't go Jeeping as much as I have been.  We used to go out to a local site after we moved back to Florida only to find out the group we went with didn't ahve permission to be on that property.  So that got cut out in a hurry.  Then I was going out once a month or so with the Ocala Jeep Club and visiting the Ocala NF only to have the Forestry Service implement "land control" measures and play hard ball.  Frankly I can't afford $500 for a ticket because some part time ranger gets a burr in his bonnet and unevenly enforces the rules.  And yes you sense the bitterness.  Several of our members have been to court to fight this arbitrary BS only to lose to "the system".  It cheaper to stay home, although nowhere near as fullfilling.

That leaves my bike.
