Yesterday, Richard Wright -  a founding member of Pink Floyd - died of cancer.  Not the first of this band to die, Syd Barrett died on July 7, 2006.  This morning, on the way to work, I heard about his death from a radio broadcast.  One of the hosts of the show called Mr. Wright an insignificant member of the band.  Not a true statement according to what I've heard and read, but a sad one.  How easy it is to dismiss someone else's life's work.

My Civic decided that Maximum Overdrive wasn't just a good movie but a good idea as well.  I am temporarily driving my mother's Chevy.  It is definitely a bigger, more luxurious car than my Civ.  With a V6, it's got plenty of horsepower under the hood, but it's easy enough to keep my foot light on the pedal...
