Captain Annika and I went to PetSmart today to get some kibble for her trusty side-kick, Satchel.  While we were there, Annika told me to buy these fish to keep Ishmael (my koi) company in his tank.  The white one (platinum ogon) has regular scales and is about 2.5 inches long.  The orange one, at about 3.5 inches long, has an odd mix of large, normal, and small (maybe even absent) scales.  I think the large scales are called doitsu, but am unsure.  They are, as yet, unnamed.  Ishmael, at 12-13 inches, absolutely dwarfs the others.  Maybe I should've called him Moby Dick instead of Ishmael...
