The Zaca fire, burning since July 4th, continues to rain ash down on me as I try to further the progress of my koi pond. Not wanting to breathe too much particulate matter, I've limited myself to a few hours out each day. Tam and the Captain stay in almost all of the time (kinda sad, 'cause Captain's Ol' Red Spaceship is in the back yard...largely unused lately). The fire is expected to end around September 7th (is that when the rains start?).



Throw another giraffe onto the fire! It's getting cold in here... ;-)
