PANEL ONE
An establishing shot of an ancient Greek city, a large temple situated directly in the middle, towering above the other buildings. People walk around going about their daily lives
CAPTION: ANCIENT GREECE – 3000 B.C.
PANEL TWO
The great doors of the temple burst open and a group of people coming
running out in sheer terror, their arms waving wildly above their heads, a
massive ball of pure energy following behind them.
SFX ENERGY: VRKKK SKROOM
PEOPLE: YAHHHHHH
PANEL THREE
A very old man with a long flowing white beard, wearing what appears to be
ceremonial robes has a staff lifted horizontally high above his head with both hands. What appears to be lightning shines and crackles across the staff.
OLD MAN: IN THE NAME OF ZEUS
OLD MAN (shouting): BE GONE!
PANEL FOUR
The old man stands and aims the staff like a rifle, firing a beam of energy
towards a serpent like shape. We can’t see any details as it is covered with a
bright aura due to all the energy that has surrounded it from the staff. But, we can see that it is long and slender, just like a snake.
SFX ENERGY: SKRATOOOMPH
PANEL FIVE
The man kneels next to a large statue of a snake like creature. The statue is
easily sixty feet high and its Dragon-like head looms down, its fangs bared and its eyes burning with hatred. A younger man stands beside the old man and looks up. He is clearly impressed.
OLD MAN: IT IS DONE. THE SPELL IS CAST.
YOUNG MAN: BUT WHAT OF THE OTHERS?
OLD MAN: ALL ARE STONE. I AM SORRY BUT THERE WAS NOTHING MORE I COULD DO. I KNOW THEY WERE YOUR FRIENDS BUT TAKE COMFORT IN THE FACT THAT ONE DAY THEY WILL LIVE AGAIN.
YOUNG MAN: YES MY LORD. BUT WHEN?

SPLASH PANEL
We look out onto a lush green field, flowers in full bloom and the sun is shining bright. The most notable thing in the field however, is the statues of ancient Greek mythological monsters. We can see the familiar shape of PEGASUS the winged horse, MEDUSA the Gorgon, The three-headed dog CERBERUS and the half lion half eagle GRIFFON.
CAPTION OLD MAN: I CANNOT SAY. BUT I FEAR IT WILL NOT BE WITHIN OUR
LIFETIMES

PANEL ONE
Establishing shot of a large gothic looking building. The front of which is
covered with windows and several large pillars that stretch from top to floor, between two of which lays a pair of massive iron doors. It is night and the sky is heavy with dark ominous clouds.
CAPTION: CENTRAL CITY MUSEUM.
CAPTION: 2:30 AM – 2005 A.D.
PANEL TWO
Inside the museum the lights are all off and the only source of light is the
windows themselves. All of the exhibits are nothing but silhouettes that
blend together so we can’t really tell what is what.
VOICE ONE (op): LOOKS LIKE RAIN AGAIN
VOICE TWO (op): DOESN’T IT ALWAYS.
VOICE ONE (op): YEAH, I SUPPOSE IT DOES.
PANEL THREE
A flash of lightening reveals the contents of the rooms. There are four large
statues, One is a something that resembles a tree with a female figure and
face under which is a sign that says ‘DRYAD’. There is the familiar form of a
Centaur with a sign stating as much under it. A Chimera with the heads of a
goat and lion, the body of a lion and a snake for a tail, again with the sign
stating its name underneath and lastly there is a statue of a large, muscular
man with a Bull’s head and cloven hooves. The sign underneath reads
MINOTAUR.
PANEL FOUR
A man dressed in a security guards uniform shines his torch towards the
statues. This is JIMMY, 62 and nearing retirement. He squints his eyes
through his thick glasses as he peers through the darkness toward them,
scratching the back of his head in a state of confusion.
JIMMY: IS SOMEONE THERE?
JIMMY: I MUST BE HEARING THINGS
PANEL FIVE
Jimmy stands in front of the Chimera, resting his hand in the rail that
separates exhibit from viewer. He smiles as he looks at the four statues.
JIMMY: WELL BOYS. OH SORRY AND GIRL. HOW ARE YOU TONIGHT? I’M SORRY THAT MORE PEOPLE DIDN’T COME TO VISIT. I GUESS KIDS THESE DAYS ARE MORE INTERESTED IN THE FUTURE AND ALL THAT. DOESN’T LEAVE MUCH ROOM FOR YOU GUYS DOES IT?
PAGE FOUR
PANEL ONE
Jimmy turns his torch as he scans the room for intruders, his eyes squinting
though the darkness again. But there is nothing there.
JIMMY: WELL I WOULD LOVE TO STAY AND CHAT BUT YOU KNOW HOW IT IS. BUSY BUSY BUSY. JUST STAY GOOD AND I’M SURE THE KIDS WILL COME TO THEIR SENSES AND VISIT YOU SOON.
PANEL TWO
We can only partially see Jimmy as he disappears into the darkness, his
torch beaming a path of light before him.
VOICE ONE (op): PITY THERE IS NO MORE LIKE THAT MAN.
VOICE TWO (op): YOU FANCY HIM DON’T YOU?
VOICE ONE (op): DON’T BE STUPID. HE’S NICE YES BUT LOOK HOW OLD HE IS.
VOICE THREE (op): YEAH HE IS RATHER YOUNG ISN’T HE?
PANEL THREE
Another flash of lightning illuminates the room again, giving us a shock. The Centaur’s head has moved to face the Dryad. The Dryad’s head is now
hung low like she is embarrassed and the Chimera and Minotaur now seem
to be looking in the direction that Jimmy went.
Note to letterer. Since the Chimera effectively has three heads, Lion, Goat
and Snake I will refer to which head is speaking and not just the Chimera.
DRYAD: THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT.
CHIMERA LION: WELL YOU CAN’T MEAN HE’S TOO OLD.
DRYAD: AND WHY NOT? PRAY TELL
CHIMERA GOAT: YOU’RE A FEW THOUSAND YEARS OLDER.
PANEL FOUR
Dryad folds her arms and turns her head, pouting her lips. Clearly she is in a
mood. The Goat and Lion head of the Chimera look at each other, they
seem confused by her action. Centaur reaches a hand out toward Dryad in
an effort to comfort her.
CHIMERA LION: WHAT DID WE SAY?
CHIMERA GOAT: GOT ME.
CENTAUR: YOU KNOW HOW SENSITIVE SHE IS ABOUT HER AGE. SHE DOESN’T
NEED REMINDING THAT SHE IS TEN THOUSAND YEARS OLD.
PAGE FIVE
PANEL ONE
Dryad turns her head quickly and glares at Centaur, fury burning in her eyes. Centaur moves his hand away quickly as all three heads of Chimera and the Minotaur look like they could burst into fits of hysterics any second, their mouths bulging as they try to suppress their laughter.
DRYAD: WHY YOU INSENSITIVE LITTLE…
CENTAUR: …SORRY IT JUST SLIPPED OUT.
CENTAUR: BUT IT IS TRUE YOU KNOW. YOU ARE TEN THOUSAND YEARS OLD.
PANEL TWO
Dryad turns her back on the others. Centaur looks shocked but the Chimera
Heads and Minotaur all burst out laughing.
DRYAD: DON’T EXPECT ME TO TALK TO ANY OF YOU EVER AGAIN.
CENTAUR: SORRY, SORRY.
CHIMERA and MINOTAUR: HAHAHAHAHAHA
PANEL THREE
Dryad turns and fixes the laughing duo with an ice cold stare. Chimera and
Minotaur look as shocked as Centaur and stop laughing immediately, their
mouths tightly shut.
DRYAD: AND YOU FOUR BETTER STOP LAUGHING OR BY THE GODS I’LL…
PANEL FOUR
Jimmy, turns and looks over his shoulder, shining his torch through the
darkness. He looks just a little scared but not much.
JIMMY: HHHELLO. IS THERE SOMEONE THERE?
PANEL FIVE
Minotaur looks in the direction of Jimmy who we can see walking towards
them.
MINOTAUR: QUICK BACK INTO POSITIONS.
PAGE SIX
PANEL ONE
Jimmy stands once more in front of the four statues, now back in their
original positions and appearing to be nothing more than stone sculptures.
JIMMY: YOU KNOW FOR A SECOND THERE I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE
TALKING. CRAZY EH?
PANEL TWO
Centaur raises his arm and wipes his brow.
CENTAUR: WHEW. THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE.
PANEL THREE
Once more we are outside looking at the Museum from the outside. It looks
strangely quiet and uninteresting.

PANEL ONE
In a small room in the middle of the day, day light shining brightly through an
open window. At a small desk, reading a book is sat DR. MARIA
JENNISON. A Caucasian woman in her early twenties, long black hair and a
terrific figure.
PANEL TWO
A young African-American man named JOSEPH walks backwards into the
room, carrying a bundle of papers and books. It should look like it is almost
to heavy for him, causing him to hunch forward over them.
JOSEPH: SO (WHEW) WHERE DA YA WANT…THESE?
MARIA: OH ON THE FLOOR THERE WILL BE FINE.
PANEL THREE
Joseph places the pile on the floor and looks up towards Maria. She in the
meantime is still heavily engrossed in her book.
JOSEPH: SO WHA’ YA LOOKIN’ AT?
MARIA: JUST A COUPLE OF GREEK MYTHS. NOTHING REALLY IMPORTANT.
JOSEPH: OWT TO DO WITH THE THING COMING THIS AFTER?
MARIA: I JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD LEARN MORE ABOUT IT BEFORE IT
COMES. IT’LL HELP WHEN WE DO THE PLAQUE’S INSCRIPTION
PANEL FOUR
Joseph walks toward the door, leaving Maria to read her book.
JOSEPH: WELL JUST DON’T FORGET IT NEEDS YOUR SIGNATURE TO BE
ACCEPTED.
MARIA: YEAH, YEAH I KNOW.
PANEL FIVE
Maria turns the page and continues reading the book.
MARIA (thinking): THE SIREN. SEA DWELLING SPIRITS SAID TO LURE SAILORS TO
THEIR DEATHS WITH THEIR ENCHANTING VOICES.
MARIA (thinking): NICE.

A middle-aged man in a loose fitting shirt and baseball cap stands next to
Maria as she signs a sheet of paper. The crate from just before is stood just
beside them.
MAN: AND JUST SIGN HERE.
MARIA: OKAY.
MAN: AND THAT’S IT. WE’RE ALL DONE.
PANEL TWO
Maria stands in front of the large crate, which towers over her and looks up in
awe. She looks impressed by the size
MARIA: I GUESS I NEED HELP MOVING YOU.
PANEL THREE
Maria stands and watches as two well built men carefully position the statue
of a beautiful young woman onto a pedestal. The opened crate stands to
one side, the polystyrene packaging spilling onto the floor.
MARIA: JUST A LITTLE MORE TO THE RIGHT.
PANEL FOUR[/B]
Just as she did with the crate, Maria stands in front of the statue and looks
up in awe at the magnificent workmanship and the sheer size.
MARIA MY. IT’S BEAUTIFUL.
PANEL FIVE
Close up on the statues face. True it has the face of a goddess but the eyes
seem mean and uncaring and there is a slight smirk to the lips.
PAGE NINE
PANEL ONE
Nighttime at the museum and the room is once more one large silhouette, all
the shadows coming together to form one formless blob
VOICE ONE (op): DID YOU SEE WHO JUST CAME IN?
VOICE TWO (op): HOW COULD I. I’M STUCK FACING THE OTHER DIRECTION.
VOICE THREE (op): WELL TAKE A LOOK THEN.
PANEL TWO
Minotaur turns his head and looks toward the SIREN. The Siren waves and
smiles wickedly.
MINOTAUR: HELLO.
SIREN: HELLO.
PANEL THREE
The Minotaur turns back to the group, they all look worried about something.
MINOTAUR (whisper): WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?
DRYAD (whisper): WHO KNOWS
MINOTAUR (whisper): BUT ISN’T SHE…?
DRYAD (whisper): HUH HUH
MINOTAUR (whisper): DOES THAT MEAN…?
PANEL FOUR
Siren has moved off her pedestal and stands before the group. The group
turn to face her, their eyes wide with shock and horror.
SIREN: NOW YOU KNOW IT’S NOT NICE TO TALK ABOUT PEOPLE
MINOTAUR: SORRY
SIREN: WELL AT LEAST WHEN THEY ARE ONLY A FEW FEET AWAY.
PANEL FIVE
Jimmy stands and looks in disbelief, his torch shining toward the five moving,
talking statues. They haven’t noticed him yet.
JIMMY: GOOD LORD.
PANEL SIX
Siren turns in Jimmy’s direction and smiles. The smile is cruel and wicked.
SIREN: (letterer / artist should add musical notes to show the siren has started
singing)
PAGE TEN
PANEL ONE
Jimmy looks like he is in a trance as he moves forward toward the siren, his
torch falling to the floor.
JIMMY: SSSO BEAUTIFUL. I MUST GO TO IT.
PANEL TWO
Centaur reaches out and grabs Siren by the arm. She turns and looks
hatefully toward him. He fixes her stare with a harsh one of his own.
CENTAUR: DON’T.
SIREN: I WAS JUST PLAYING WITH HIM.
PANEL THREE
The statues watch as Jimmy collapses to the floor, unconscious. Siren
simply smiles.
SFX JIMMY: THUMPP
SIREN: WORRY NOT. HE’LL BE FINE IN THE MORNING. AND HE WON’T
REMEMBER A THING
PANEL FOUR
The attention of the original four statues is now on Siren. Siren stands
before them and just keeps on smiling.
DRYAD: SO WHY ARE YOU HERE?
SIREN: I WAS BOUGHT BY THE MUSEUM
CHIMERA LION: NO. WHY ARE YOU REALLY HERE?
SIREN: TO HERALD HIS GLORIOUS RETURN.
PANEL FIVE
Chimera, Dryad and Centaur all smile but Centaur does not. He remains
almost emotionless as he stares at Siren.
CAPTION: THE SIREN IS AWARE THAT THEY DO NOT BELIVE.
CAPTION: BUT SOON THEY WILL KNOW SHE SPEAKS THE TRUTH
DRYAD: YOU’VE BEEN SINGING ABOUT THAT FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS.
WHAT MAKES YOU SO CERTAIN YOU’RE RIGHT THIS TIME?
SIREN: BECAUSE HE HAS SPOKEN TO ME.

thrashes about madly, trying desperately to escape.
CENTAUR: CALM DOWN. I WON’T HURT YOU.
SIREN (shouting): RELEASE ME DOLT. THE APPOINTED TIME IS NIGH AND I MUST GO
SING FOR HIS ARRIVAL.
PANEL FOUR
Maria stands with her mouth agape, staring at what she once thought were
statues, moving and talking and basically having an argument. Siren has
noticed her to.
MARIA: WHAT IN THE NAME OF…?
MINOTAUR: WE’VE BEEN SEEN.
PANEL FIVE
Siren breaks free of Centaur’s grip and flies over to where Maria is stood.
Maria can only stand in which in shock and fright as this once stone statue
moves menacingly toward her. Siren’s mouth is wide open, as if she was
about to scream or sing loudly.

her flying toward a large, stained glass window.
MINOTAUR: NO YOU DON’T

The monsters stop and turn to face Maria, they looked just as shocked to see
her as she is to see them. Maria walks cautiously towards them.
MARIA: WHAT? WHO ARE YOU?
CHIMERA GOAT: HMMMMM
PANEL THREE
Centaur places his hand on Chimera’s back. Chimera’s Goat head turns
round to face him. Maria just stands and watches.
CENTAUR: COME. WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO WASTE EXPLAINING.
CHIMERA GOAT: YOU ARE RIGHT.
PANEL FOUR
Maria moves toward the group. The groups look at each other as if they do
not know what to do. Dryad keeps her eyes on Maria
MARIA: PLEASE. TELL ME WHO YOU ARE?
DRYAD: I BELIEVE YOU ALREADY KNOW. OUR NAMES ARE WRITTEN THERE
ON OUR PLAQUES.
MARIA: BUT HOW ARE YOU MOVING? YOU’RE JUST STATUES.
DRYAD: NO. WE WERE MAINLY CURSED INTO A STONE LIKE FORM. BUT THE
CURSE HAS NOW BEGUN TO WEAR OFF.
PANEL FIVE
The monsters turn away from Maria and move toward the main doors again.
Maria runs after them.
DRYAD: NOW IF YOU WILL EXCUSE US, WE MUST GO
MARIA: GO WHERE?

that this statue is Serpent like monster that was turned to stone at the
beginning.

The monsters are once again on the move. Maria runs toward her car, her
keys already in her hands. Dryad has turned her head to watch her.

MARIA: I’M COMING WITH YOU.
DRYAD: WE CAN’T ALLOW THAT. IT IS FAR TOO DANGEROUS.
MARIA: JUST TRY AND STOP ME.
