Personal Benchmarks

Just a quick thought... what would happen if we set benchmarks for our own personal lives? And I don't mean professional ones, or big time objectives, how about "the day I was the happiest in my life?" and then compare other happy days to that one, with the objective of trying to surpass it... maybe "the day I had the most fun", or "the day I felt most in love"...

I thought about it, and then decided not to go through with the idea. Think about it, it's a two sided, very scary concept. What do you think?
