Isis and Remus have another egg. Isis laid it in the food dish and looked so uncomfortable sitting there, so I gave them back a nest bowl and added some pine shavings. They were sitting quite happily when I fed them this morning. Maybe this time it will work out. They have had two pairs of eggs in the last four months, but neither ever hatched.
Everyone else is doing fine, the baby zebras are growing up so fast but still begging their parents as if they were starving to death. I suspect that the oldest babies are feeding themselves, but I haven't been able to sit and watch long enough this week to double check. I did get the bands on all of the zebras, something I haven't done in many years! Once I got the hang of it and finally managed to catch everyone, it really only took about a half an hour. My stepson, Donny, stepped in to watch and was a big help as well. They are now numbered 1-14 and my records are up to date.
