Strawberry Sponge Cake
Fluffy sponge with a hint of buttery flavor is generously decorated with whipped cream and strawberries. Perfect for birthdays and other celebrations. Why not try making them by hand from authentic dough?
ingredients (15cm Whole Cake)
- Egg
- 3
- Granulated Sugar
- 60g
- Light Flour
- 60g
- Melted Butter
- 20g
- Fresh Cream + Sugar
- 200cc + 15g
- ☆Syrup from a can of fruit
- 3tablespoons
- ☆Strawberry Liqueur
- 1tablespoon
- Strawberries
- 1 pack
How to cook
- Cover the mold with a cookie sheet. Melt butter in microwave. Sift flour.
- Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites and place the egg whites in a large bowl. Add sugar in 3 additions to make a firm meringue.
- Add the egg yolks and flour, in that order, and mix with a rubber spatula until light and powdery.
- Place in prepared mold and bake at 170°C for 32 minutes. Unmold and set aside.
- Mix the ☆ to make syrup.
- Make the whipped cream, dividing 2/3 of the whipped cream into 8 parts when it is 7 parts full.
- Cut (5) in half, brush the cross section with (6), spread with an eighth of cream, arrange the sliced strawberries, and spread with more cream.
- Once sanded, paint the entire area with 8 parts cream. It doesn't have to be perfectly clean at this point.
- Pour 7 parts of cream over the top and smear nicely. It is soft and easy to paint.
- Decorate with strawberries as you wish♪
