Biographical Information
R. DeAndre Smith was born on December 18, 1977 in Cincinnati, OH, to Randolph and Janice Smith. He grew up just north of the city. In his youth he had varied interests, participating in many organizations which included wrestling teams, football teams, bands and choirs. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1996. He then went on to attend Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
At Miami University, DeAndre studied Music Education, concentrating in voice. He has studied voice under many renowed teachers including, Prof. Joan Moynaugh, Dr. Clayton Parr, Prof. Audrey Luna, and Prof. Alison Acord.
DeAndre was also a member of the Miami University Men's Glee Club under the direction of Dr. Ethan Sperry, who also directs the Miami University Collegiate Chorale (mixed voice choir). The Glee Club is a group of approximately 80 excellent male singers. The Glee Club has performed in various cities throughout the United States and Europe.
He is also a former member of the Miami University Marching Band which is approximately 300 members strong. MUMB performs music from all genres. DeAndre is also an alumni member of the Epsilon Xi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity. This fraternity operates exclusively in the field of college and university bands.

DeAndre also enjoyed his time in which he sang in the cover band Strange Attractors.
DeAndre is currently pursuing a career in acting. Working for the Missoula Children's Theatre out of Missoula, Montana, co-directing and acting in the show The Frog Prince.
