|
Jakub Szot and Agata Obryk of Błażkowa Poland had seven children. Between 1906 and 1911, three of their children, Julia, Jan (John), and Anna Szot along with Agata's brother Josef Obryk immigrated to the United States. Like many immigrants, their names were "Americanized". Their Polish surname "Szot" (pronounced "Schot") became "Sord". Of the remaining four children, two died as infants and one as a young woman. This left Stanisław as the remaining child in Poland. As the years past, Stanisław's family grew. Many years later, one of Stanisław's grandsons, Stanisław (Stanley) Wojdyła immigrated to the US. So now, all four of the surviving children of Jakub and Agata Szot have descendants in the US. Check out the family trees below, you are sure to find a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent listed. |
