“A Food Assistance Program for Poor Children”

Kusi Uya is a student-based “Food Assistance Program for Poor Children” and as such, we need any type of contribution you can give to make our short-term objectives and long-term objective possible.

“Dreams of Poverty” is a project that we have outlined to raise awareness that children living in poverty still have dreams for their future, but their dreams might not be the same dreams as a child living in a significantly better situation. An event will be given in July of 2006 to an elementary public school which has demonstrated a substandard economic disadvantage among a pool of promising schools and which has a student-body with a potential to dream beyond the restraints and constraints of their perceived reality. Tabulating total accounting costs for the event, we have reasoned that it will amount to $1,500 (~500 children at $3 per child, which includes all other costs). Help us reach our goal and give a child the opportunity to dream and to reassure them that dreams, as unlikely or unreal as they seem, might and can come true. Children in poverty dream like the rest of us!
