What did Grzegorz Żemek advise the Meat Processing Plant

After FOZZ [Foreign Debt Service Fund] there was Nisko

Over seven hundred employees of the Meat Processing Plant in Nisko haven’t received their salary since May. “Rzeczpospolita” [“The Republic”] found out that at the same time that company’s management transferred money to the bank account of Grzegorz Żemek, the principal defendant in the FOZZ affair, and the companies connected to him. A company seated in Warsaw, Kera Trading, controlled by Żemek, is the owner of the Nisko Plant, and he himself holds the position of a supervisory board chairman of the Nisko Plant.

Andrzej Szewczyk, chairman of the “Solidarity” local at the Nisko Plant, says, that he is terrified that the law did nothing in regard to what is happening at the company. The unionists intend to ask the Attorney General Lech Kaczyński to undertake proper actions and to bring those guilty of the plant’s bankruptcy to justice. The crew also blames the Ministry of Treasure, which is the company’s minority shareholder, that at the right time it hasn’t interfered in stealing the plant away. – We will do anything and we will not allow the Nisko case to endure like FOZZ – say the employees. They want the court to discontinue the amicable proceedings with the creditors and announce bankruptcy. Only then could they receive money from the Guaranteed Benefits Fund. Around seven hundred employees of the Meat Processing Plant in Nisko haven’t received any money since May. In September the crew has been on strike for a month. The strike stopped after the management had obliged itself to pay the arrears. The employees haven’t received the money until today. At the same time assets - as “Rzeczpospolita” has established, were being transferred to Grzegorz Żemek’s companies.

Pork halved carcass from Nisko

At the end of June of this year the Meat Processing Plant in Nisko paid 7320 PLN to the benefit of Beepol Aruba in Warsaw. Grzegorz Żemek receipted the money. The indictment concerning the FOZZ case defines Grzegorz Żemek as an advisor of a company named Beepol. The company named Beepol Aruba on the other hand, has been founded by Beepol and Reinold Holding AVV from Netherlands Antilles. Later on, the place of Rainold Holding in the ownership structure, has been taken by the company Financial Management Technology (FMT), founded in August 1993 by Grzegorz Żemek and his wife Kamila Marcinkowska.

From what “Rzeczpospolita” has established it follows that FMT, which has the same address as Beepol Aruba, has been delivered pork halved carcass as well as other goods from Nisko. Within the period from April until December of last year, that company received carcass worth 1,8 million PLN. Until today, money for it has not reached Nisko.

Consulting and protection

On September 21st of this year, the company Transport, the only shareholder of which is the Nisko Plant, transferred 6100 PLN to the benefit of the company Financial Consulting - Grzegorz Żemek s.c. in Warsaw. The amount was due to legal assistance and financial consulting. In autumn of last year, Grzegorz Żemek told “Rzeczpospolita”: “Financial Consulting is a company, the activity of which consists of organising economic ventures. It is sometimes helping in arranging credits, for which I collect commission”.

On the last day of August of this year, the management of the Nisko Plant ordered to pay over 16 thousand PLN to the benefit of the Security Agency Juwentus in Warsaw, for protection of a real estate in Korzeniówka near Warsaw, owned by Grzegorz Żemek. The order of transfer was signed by Leszek Cichy, the President of the Nisko Plant, on the first day of his being at that post.

The outstanding payments somewhere else

At the same time the halved carcass from the Nisko Plant were also delivered to companies connected to Kera Trading. They reached FMT and among others the company Olmar in Lewiczyn, which hasn’t paid for the goods either. The President of that company is Maciej Cyprys, deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Nisko Plant. In Lewiczyn, under the same address as Olmar, there is another company - Mega Trading, also connected to Kera Trading.

On the other hand, to the bank account of Mega Trading, instead of the Nisko plant, there mysteriously came payments for goods collected by Animex and Schreder from Nisko.

Kera Trading has become a holder of the controlling parcel of shares in the Nisko Plant in summer of last year. It purchased shares from the IV NFI Progres, controlled by the state treasure and the other State Investment Funds. Grzegorz Żemek has then promised bright future to the crew. Now, nobody can even calculate the indebtedness of the plant. It is being estimated to exceed 30 million PLN. In spite of such a dramatic situation, shareholders during the last extraordinary meeting which took place at the Europejski Hotel in Warsaw, indulged in an extraordinary feast.
