POLITICIANS
BEHAVING BADLY 2002-07-07 This is a typical behaviour in our political life, demonstrated by Labor frontbencher Mark Latham. Most people are very offended by this, but why? This is nothing new or unexpected performance used by politicians from all sides of politics. We have to remember that we are not on position to criticize politicians. Do they care about what concerned citizens think? I don’t think so. That is of course unbelievable, but is true that we are living in a century of immorality at all. Morality for sure is for ordinary person, because our parents taught us and we can still get smack or be reprimanded by family members if we do or say something inappropriate. It is something like respect in our life and politicians have forgotten about it. That is shocking that such things happened, because where exactly is this situation taking us. Definitely nowhere. In these days evidently vulgar and offensive language rule and accompanying our life, but is it that necessary and acceptable by most people or not? The most outrage thing is that already some politicians go beyond that and starts inciting people to genocide. Agitating citizens to killing and shooting like ducks other human being is not only morally wrong but illegal too. Exactly what is the Federal Government doing to prevent people from such behaviour? Absolutely nothing, and they expect from us to believe that the future of our nation is in their hands. What kind of future we are looking for if politicians changed their attitude from respect and politeness to hatred, extreme dislike, violent and aggressive behaviour. Maybe some people like satirical and disgusting performance acting by politicians, but still majority of communities won’t be tolerating that. It’s time to stop that. Politicians have to learn that their silly or stupid actions and conduct is not tolerable in the 21st century. Their job is to represent us in a proper menace. Selfishness, egoistic self-esteem and self-importance of politicians have to end, because there’s no room for such personalities in our society or political establishment. We would like to live in a peaceful and polite environment and politicians have not right to forget that, because they are working for us, not other ways. Back to home page |
