AFTER ELECTION2001-11-20 Slowly everything in Australia is coming back to normal
after Federal Election. Labor is looking for new leadership and new direction.
Coalition on the other hand tries reshuffling their Ministry Cabinet and they
are making an effort to find new ideas because of uncertain social and
economical future. Whether government is prepared for new thinking and new
vision of prospects for Australia, I don’t know but after Christmas we will see
their full potential. We have to be prepared for the worse because in a short
time unlike the rest of the world we can’t escape recession. Already we can
see symptoms of slowing down our economy. Now Coalition and Government
will be having big problem on how to keep economy growing with their
election promises. How long can the government delay slowing economy? I
think that not for long. GST revenue can no longer absorb all the needs
we have to have for good growth, which allow our economy floating
indifferently and untouchable in the difficult economic world circumstances.
We can only hope that the government uses wisely financial and
fiscal potentials, not putting our life in a difficult position or debts.
Already we have indication that our economy will be having a tough time in the near
future. Unemployment is on the rise. Every day we are hearing that more
people will be loosing their job. Unfortunately government in that area doesn’t have any
good solution or prospects. Work for the dole is not a solution for long
term. Everyone who is looking for job should have more chance and
opportunity in finding a proper job or training. In November more young people
are finishing school. What kind of opportunities is waiting for them?
Only Centerlink. Now the Government have plenty very hard tasks to resolve
and we are looking forward on how they will achieve that without raising
our taxes. We see. Back to home page |
