ENTITLEMENTS2001-10-19 Last couple of years we have seen more than usual that people
were stripped off from their entitlements and the government
did nothing for preventing this in the future. It’s now a question
whether government should do something about it or not? It’s
only one simple answer – yes. Why? Because government has responsibility
for looking after all citizens. That means making the law, which
should protect peoples’ rights. Rights to get their full entitlements,
which they earned. Our politicians’ wages, superannuation and other
entitlements are safe. In the history of Australian parliament there hasn’t
been any example of politicians who didn’t get his, her entitlements. But
how many working people in the history of Australia haven’t got paid for
their work or their employer ripped them off. That’s very interesting why
politicians have never done anything positive in that matter.
Individually, people can’t protect their entitlements because there doesn’t exist
such an insurance or scheme, which could give them full protection. Election debate is on the way and I don’t see any sign
from both sides of politics that they want to do something in that
subject. Any commitment in that case is very blurry, why we can’t trust any more
politicians. They don’t deserve any trust from us. Australian people
shouldn’t vote on big parties like Labor, Liberal and National. It’s time say
to them: we have enough of dishonesty, lies and discrimination from
politicians. It’s time to say goodbye to them. We have to say clearly to all
members (present and future) of parliament that their job is
making the law, which will be protecting all citizens equally, fairly
and justly. All people rights have to be protected not only politicians. Our
future depends on protection. Protection not only by police or Law and
Order but also by proper insurance or government’s scheme, which give us
(all Australians) fair go and justice. We deserve that and politicians
have to start thinking properly what they doing and why. Back to home page |
