Performing Literature I

Description: Students will study classics and modern works of literature while learning performance skills, including voice skills, gestures and body language. Students will participate in oral interpretation, reader's theatre, dramatic monologues, and comedy skits performing in class and in public, at CYT lunches, the Shakespeare Festival, the Christmas dinner, and the CYT banquet. During the second semester we will also produce a play which will be performed in April. Students will classic and modern prose, plays, poetry, works of fiction and nonfiction as well as watching some plays on video.
