POETRY BY JANELLE

BY CANDLE LIGHT

I light this white candle
in homage to the
Lovely Lady of the moon.
For to the East
her stones of the ancient circle stands firm,
balanced on the surface of Mother Earth.

I light this blue candle
in homage to the
Laughing Lady of the Greenwood
For to the North
her alter of ancient wisdom stands firm
imbued by the suns ray.

I light this Pink candle
in homage to the
Ancient of Ancients
For to the South
her eternal chain of life lays firmly,
protected by the wise one.
I light this Green candle
in homage to the
Queen of the Firedrakes
For to the West
her eternal flame burns
protecting the spells and legends of Mother Earth

In the Candle Light
I call upon the
Caretakers of the four Quadrants
to bless me with their knowledge and spirit
and in one breath
I absorb the consciousness of Mother Earth
Shown and gifted by Candle Light.
