ENCHANTED

As the wind Howls
through the misty glen
We light the bon-fires
and begin the festival
of all hallows eve.

Children laugh as they play
Hide and seek
within the heavy ladden mist,
Adults stay warm drinking by the fire,
listening to the old ones tell tales of a frightening nature.

I watched as you danced
your way, from fire to fire;
Your brazen white cloak
gleaming like the full moon
in a starless sky, giving a ghostly
appearance to your minueted dance.

Listening to your grave voice as you progressed near,
I became enchanted within the tradition of all hallows
the allure of your persona and charming manner
I fell deeper under your casted spell.

As I flirted within the sleeves of shadows
Our eyes met with an acknowledging grin
I give you leave to come closer,
Will you catch me, the enchanted one
Now that I have fallen?

THE CHALICE

I have filled this chalice
with my life's force and love
with baited breathe...
I watch as you drink deeply
and as you close your eyes in ecstasy,
I smile my secret smile,
for now you are mine
my essence flows through your viens
and the life of loneliness grinds to a halt.

I have found my soulmate
the bridge has been gaped,
the whole has been filled.

You smile your secret grin
as you prepare your chalice
with a wicked glint in your eye
you offer yourself to me.
I drink deeply.

The ritual is complete
we lay exhausted and entwined
forever under the dark starry night
together as one.
