My Beliefs
I received a email asking me what I believe. So here goes. Remember the following is only my personal beliefs; they may have similarities to others practicing the Craft. However they don't represent the opinions or beliefs of all those involved in the Craft.
General Beliefs
I Believe that there are forces, all encompassing powers that determine the aspects of the universe. Representing the feminine and masculine aspects of existence. These two beings rule as one. A partnership. The full potential of the individual witch is drawn from that blend of energies.
I am not a Satanist. As Satanism is a reaction to Christianity, by inverting the rituals of the Catholic mass. Satan does not appear in the original Testament of the Bible, and is a Christian invention to show the opposing side of an all loving and good God.
I would like to stress, that all religions have their valid points, and I'm not putting down this particular religion, just expressing my point of view.
Though I believe that the propaganda war that the Catholic churches and later other churches initiated, are responsible for the deaths of many in the name of Jesus Christ. And unfortunately this original propaganda is still responsible for the persecution of people today around the world.
Three-Fold Rule" and the "Harm None Rule"
I believe in the Three Fold Rule, meaning what ever I do will return to me threefold. This was often spoken about when I was a child, visiting relatives on holiday's, making me respect that my actions wether good or bad, would react back onto myself and those around me. This also ties in with the Harm None rule� Do what ye will but Harm thee none. As one rule follows the other. (However I reserve that right to defend my family and my person from physical abuse, but not through the use of magick.)
White Magick / Black Magick
I believe that magick can be used for good and bad purposes. Therefore there is no such thing as a black magic presa; as its the intent of the person casting the spell that determines its outcome whether it be good or bad.
Manipulative Magick
I believe that the use of a binding spell to be unethical and unnecessary form of magick. As mentioned above I believe in the "three fold law", so to bind some one is to invoke being bound in some way myself. I believe it is more apposite to protect yourselves, others and places from the person. Using a protection spell is a way you can achieve your intention to neutralize the situation without resorting to the use of manipulative magick. It is certainly recommended that you do not use it to influence, harm, or change someone else without their permission.
Magickal Abilities
I believe that everyone is born with natural Magickal ability. It is seen the most through small children. Their minds are so powerful. Unfortunately, as time goes by, many of us lose that magick. We get programmed to disbelieve in anything that can not be scientifically explained, or that is not the norm within our society. We doubt ourselves. Children tend not to do this. They believe that anything is possible and it is. I feel there is much we can learn from them.
