Imagine waking up on a beautiful morning, the sun is out, and the greatest even of the millenmium is just starting. Crono has been waiting to go to the Millennial Fair for some time. He is awakened by his mother and is more than excited to start his day. When he arives at his destination he (quite litteraly) runs into a girl whom he has never seen before. They go together to Crono's best friends side show, a pod which can teleport matter from one place to the next. The strange girl thinks it would be a fun idea to hop on and try for herself. No sooner does she steps up, she vanishes. This is what starts off to be a wonderful journy through time to help save the past, preasant and future from an evil alien being known only as Lavos. Along your way you will encounter strange friends, stranger enemies, and even some unlikely allies. This is the game that got me hooked on console role playing games. It is still haild to be one of the greatest games of all time. This game features somthing, that for its time, was very revolutionary. The ability to combine attacks with your teammates. Performing Double-Tech, and Triple-Tech moves was instumental in defeating many key bosses in this game. Another great feature, is once you complete certian tasks (including beating the game), you are given the option of starting a New Game+. Essentially you pick a save slot to copy data from, you then start from the begining of the game using all the same items, stats, levels and techs as the save file you picked from. Doing this enables you to be able to see one of the games 12+ endings!! Yes that's right over 12 differant endings, something unheard of at the time. All in all this is a WONDERFUL game, that if you have an SNES, or a Playstation I Highly recommend picking up this gem of a game. I bought it almost 10 years ago and I still play it to this day. I will never get tired of playing this game. |
