Dogs
So this page is sort of a joke, but still interesting.  Costa Rica like many developing countries has a major problem controlling it's pet population.  Many dogs run around free and a good number of them don't even have a real home, they just wander from place to place living off of sympathy.  It's been said that a lot of people take their litter of puppies that they can't keep and bring them up to Monteverde and drop them off because they think they'll be taken in here by tourists or students or whatnot.  So being the typical Gringo (translation = American) students that we are we've made friends with the random dogs that hang out around here.  On the left we have the one, the only "Billy."  He's quite the dog king, if you will.  He's small but very popular with the students and tourists.  On the top right we have "Pepe" the dirty-hippy dog.  He's never clean and always smells.  In the middle is Chester, the only dog who's name I know.  He belongs to Stewart and Deb Dallas, some researchers here.  He's pretty nice, but again, always smells like he's just found a nice pile of cow crap to go rolling in.  And lastly is the neurological disorder dog, belonging to the host family of Garrett, our summer high school intern.  I've forgotten it's name, and so has Garrett...
There's nothing cuter than a puppy pile!
A good old dog fight in studio.  In the end though, Billy threw in his towel and walked out the door, leaving the championship title to Miss Sloppy-face...
