After classes started up and we got settled in, the Institute took us to the Cloud Reserve. We had a guide show us around and we saw a male and female Quetzal. For more info on the Quetzal click on the photo of the green male quetzal at the lower right. We also saw two side striped palm pit vipers, which are poisonous, as well as a green parrot snake. Along with that we saw a blue eyed anole, photo at right and many plants. For more info on strangler fig trees, click on the photo of the tree at the lower left. Ryan and I later returned to the Reserve when his family came to visit. |
