Here are the accident photos from my brush with death. The damage report is a broken tibia (leg) - which now has pins, a plate and a cable - a torn tendon in my knee, a very deep laceration on my right knee, severe brusing on my abdomen, arms and chest, and a broken back (luckily in only one place with no spinal damage).
This is obviously the front view of the van. You can see where the van literally wrapped around the pole.
This is another side view - you can see that the passanger side took the brunt of the hit and dissolved.
Ah, the interior. The steering column is broken, the entire front display panel is destroyed. The exposed yellow foam on the side is where my right knee hit and got split open.
Another view of the interior. The back seat went flying up and hit the two front seats and was still found to be like this is the junk yard.
Since both of my knees were sliced open and I was bleeding like crazy, this was the result to my poor shoes and socks. (A wonderfully minor loss compared to what could have happened.)
