On March 30th, I got a new job working for a company that arranges the testing for crane operators on a national basis. So far, I really like it and everyone there is so sweet. I finished "1st To Die" by James Patterson, which I was a little disappointed in. The first thing I read by him was "When The Wind Blows", which was terrific! I am now reading a book called " Invitation To A Funeral" by Molly Brown. John, I think you might enjoy this one - although I am not certain. You also might be interested to see the following Web site, which breaks down the characters as if in a play.

I also discovered a BBC mystery series starring Dame Diana Rigg as Mrs. Bradley (called Mrs. Bradley Mysteries) set post World War 1,roughly in the 1930's. They are very enjoyable although they seem a little rushed. They are 60 minutes and I feel they would benefit from an extra 30 minutes. 90 minutes isn't totally unreasonable.

I called in sick to work yesterday because I was experiencing chest pain since Wednesday afternoon. I went to the doctor and discovered, thankfully, it had nothing to do with my heart. It is a condition called Costochondritis, which is an inflammation of the cartilage connecting a rib to the brestbone. He told me to take 2-3 Advil with meals 3 times daily. He didn't, however, mention how long it would take to go away.

The book I'm reading, "Invitation To A Funeral" has inspired me to find out more about John Wilmot, the Earl of Rochester. I picked up "Lord Rochester's Monkey" at the library and ordered two other books dealing with his poetry. I haven't started yet, but I will let you know what I think.

On the film end of things, we went to see The Wild, tongiht. And except for the loud and crying kids, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Eddie Izzard (playing Nigel the koala) stole the show - as usual. So that should hold my "Eddie fix" for a little while.

We also have continued to watch a series of mysteries called Midsomer Murders, which are quaint English murder mysteries. They began based on books - which actually aren't bad - and continued on their own from there. In fact, one episode included a very young Orlando Bloom.

I have been having problems again with my right index finger - the one the cat (and alligator) bit. It has become very painful and sensitive to pressure. I am trying to do the exercises I learned back when I had physical therapy on it, but I don't know where to purchase the putty-type stuff she had me working with.

Had best go for now.

Love.
