Cyprus is near to Turkey, Greece, Israel, the Lebanon and Europe. It has been of key strategic importance to many superpowers over the centuries and many of them have controlled Cyprus in one way or another over this time. As most people know, Cyprus is currently divided between the Greek and Turkish communities but I do not wish to talk about the rights and wrongs of that situation. Many people have very strong views and I will leave it to them to express them. My hope is that the peoples of Cyprus will soon be able to live in harmony together again.

Cyprus is full of beautiful places. We are blessed by sunshine and a rich historical heritage. This is a former monastery near to Famagusta where I live and I have included a number of links to other sources of information on the Contact page.
