Average fish 18+, 80 acre lake, very pretty. Camping on my farm, evening cook out free. Fishing for catfish at night at my home. I'll provide boilies for the non believers! People usually meet on friday night and camp on the river bank in my front yard, we eat and drink and bull shit around a camp fire. I get everyone up really early with coffee and we go to the lake.

I will need an idea of the numbers willing to attend as I have to book the park usage for a specific number and dates. The fishing will be dawn to 10 p.m. only and absolutely no night fishing is allowed here. The police do patrol the park after 10 p.m. and will move you on if you are still there after 10 p.m. I will put together a package of the local motels/long stay/hotels for anyone needing it. I would recommend flying in to Oakland rather than San Francisco at this time of year as SFO get fogged and delays happen a lot.

Virginia Fish-In
The Virginia Fish-In will be held at Lake Orange from the evening of Friday the 20th through the afternoon of Sunday the 22nd.
For lake info etc... click here.
We will be fishing on the point by the boat ramp. Night fishing is permitted but not "camping" or wading.
There are grills in the picnic area and the gas station at the junction of Rte 20 and 629 sells food and drinks.
The lake seems to hold a good head of grass and common carp, with catfish thrown in for good measure.
We will be baiting up the point during the week before but if I have some idea of how many folks are planning to attend we can see about "reserving" a section of the bank.

This is an excellent venue with 7 lakes (all reasonably small). Two can be camped on (night fishing is allowed if camping). The pice of fishing includes a license so no one will need to purchase CA Licenses. Here is a link to the lakes - the two guys who are fishing down there have had numerous carp to 38lb including some nice mirrors. For this event We will need exact numbers as we have to pre- book the camping otherwise there is no guarentees on access.
