Good evening everyone!
We had our first physics club meeting tonight, and it was a success!
Thank you to all the prospective and current members that came today,
and thank you Jason and Jules for bringing all the necessary materials
to make delicious root beer floats!
To those of you who were unable to make the meeting, here's what we covered:
- We're planning fieldtrips to the Skirball Center to see an Einstein exhibit, the Body Worlds II exhibit @ the California center,
the plasma continuum chamber @ UCLA, and other JPL/Cal Tech events.
- Star parties
- 02/22 - Our next physics club will be @ 4:30 in room SEM-112.
- 02/24 - This will most likely be the first time this semester that we'll be getting
together to complete the cosmic ray detector.
- 03/10 - Senior Day!
We will have our own table set up with demos and other doo-dads.
If you're interested in volunteering to work the table, please contact one of the officers! We'll
be out in front of Admissions & Records from 9-12, so stop by and say hello!
More information on the dates shown above are on the upcoming events page. Once again,
thanks to all that came to our first meeting tonight! Hope to see some more new faces at our next meeting!

Hello friends!
Welcome to another fun and exciting year at school! We hope everyone's having a good semester so far,
and having a good time in all of their classes.
So, we FINALLY updated this website of ours after a couple of months of neglection. It is now, by far,
so much better than our last site! Can we get three cheers for that? Hip-hip, hooray! This definitely
calls for a celebration, and that's what we'll be kicking off the spring semester with our first club
meeting on Tuesday February 15! And what would a celebration be like without root beer floats? Absolutely
nothing, we say! So, stop by @ 5 pm in front of the Math Learning Center on Tuesday to meet
new friends, drink some root beer floats, and talk about what we have in store this semester!
It looks like we will finally see the completion of our COSMIC RAY DETECTOR this semester, and
we invite you all to come and be a part of this! Who knows what mysteries we will uncover!
There's lots more in store for you, including field trips and lectures!
So stay tuned and don't sleep.
Jason (VP) & Grace (Webmaster, etc.)
