What's Going on?!?
and I say hey ey ey hey ey ey I said hey....
So you're a fan of Tolkien aye?  Oh you're not...well you're a fan of the Vetivers right?  Never heard of them?  Well what better way to meet the band than in a Tolkien like tale?  Oh I suppose you could go to www.vetivers.com, but that wouldn't be fun at all.  Do it later and sign the message board.  In the mean time, click here to read TALES OF THE VETIVERS!!!
You know what I really like?  Movies.  Thats right, Im one of those guys who really enjoy movies.  Dont get me wrong, Im not one of those types who just leave at just watching the movie once. I like to watch the movie, study it and as puzzling it might be try and learn from it.  There is no other film that makes this style of thinking more prevalent then the movie Prom Night.
If youve ever seen the thriller classic Prom Night, then you probably saw it on TBS or on Up All Night on USA.  I recommend that you try getting this classic on VHS or DVD.  You might ask why you should do such a thing?  Well there are many reasons.  Lets go through each of them.
It stars a young Jamie Lee Curtis in one of her more dramatic roleswell not really.  But you do see her disco dance like no other!

Did you watch I Know What You Did Last Summer?  If you did, well think of this as the movie that inspired the entire plot of I Know What You Did Last Summer.  Im sure you younger types are saying to yourself,
Why should I see a dated movie?
Well my young friend rather than its successor I Know What You Did Last Summer, the plot is a little more user friendly.  Also its not caught up in a style where you need to imitate a Scream like atmosphere.  Sure the Scream Trilogy did a fine job of having hip actors stuck in a Hitchcock like situation, but it didnt have to lumber on the fact that there actors are young and famous to deliver a good scary movie.  Oh and also theres nudity in Prom Night.  Ah yes Nuditynudity nudity nudity. opposed to Freddy Prinz Jr.

Its an early eighties moviescome on.just rent it.  You dont have to rent emmy award winning films  all the time.  The world wont end.  And for godsake watch it in the right atmosphere.  I usually like watching horror flicks late at night with the lights out.  Not lights on and in a very resilient mood of not enjoying myself just because the thing wasnt filmed in digital  film.

So go grab Prom Night.  Itll remind where you came from my friendsthe late 70s and early 80s.  And it has nuditydid I mention nudity?  Well it has nudity.
