The Battle of the Bands turns out to be an actual Battle of the Bands!
On April 18th, Johnson County Community College became the setting for the most unusual battle of the bands. As the Vetivers (Clyde Kim, Paul Solecki and Jimmy March) made their way to the college campus they noticed something very odd. Instead of sound systems and speakers being set up, a wrestling ring was being assembled. Paul talked to some of the coordinators beside the ring and was told that they were at the right place for the Battle of the Bands. Soon a ring bell was rung and an announcer took toward the center of the ring. Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for attending the Battle of the Bands the single most violent competition between musical talents. In this event each band will be called into the ring and when a person is thrown over the top rope he/she will be eliminated from the battle. The last band to be in the ring will then be crowned the Band Battle Masters. The announcer soon called in the bands as they made their way toward the ring. Among the bands were the Marilyns Satans, a hard heavy metal cover band group. They were followed by the Cold Slice, an extreme hip hop and rap trio and then the Big Texans who fancied country /western. The Vetivers arrived into the ring with Why cant we be friends as their entrance music. All three were trembling as the other three bands gave them evil and sadistic stares. Jimmy was the first to try to reason with the bloodthirsty bands in hopes for some kind of peaceful solution. Hi, Im Jimmy. I was Jimmys diplomacy was canceled out when two men pummeled him and proceeded to throw him out of the ring. Then eyes were set on the remaining two members of the Vetivers. Look dudes, Paul said, Were totally weak and we couldnt possibly take you on in a fight. But instead of a violent out break, Clyde followed up, We give you two free passes to the AMC 30, Olathes biggest movie theater. Both men soon felt the sting of two steel chairs against their backs and fell to the floor. Clyde was then picked up and power slammed to the ground. A number of other band members soon began to stomp away on the Korean youngster. Clyde tried to plead and beg for them to stop (even with tears), but the onslaught continued over and over again. He soon realized that Paul was already eliminated and wondered why the other bands were still beating on him. STOP! FOR GODSAKE STOP! JUST THROW ME OUT! THROW ME OUT! Clyde sobbed as ever band cooperated together to stomp a mud hole in him. Finally after an hour Clydes unconscious body was thrown out of the ring. The Vetivers were distraught with the out come of the Battle of the Bands, which resulted in Jimmy March quitting the Vetivers. |
