| 8:30am--- St. John 21 St. As 31 For St. A's - Point guard Brandon Savage broke out and had the type of game that his teammates will need from him week in and week out. With an aggresive attack he lead all scorers with 14pts. He had help from L. Battle, cleaning glass and dropping an added 8pts. For St. John- (We'll get this guys name, rosters are due soon).Dudap (we think)- ok so I thought this guy just might of had a lucky day last week..... but this cat can shoot. Leading his team again with 9pts. This 7th grader will continue to hurt teams for some time to come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9:30am--- O. M. C. 22 St. Therese 25 For St.Therese- Shannon Simpson came up major for 'mean green' dropping 8 of their first 10 pts & on his way for a team high 12pts. Also providing size up front defensively & helping the big fella clean glass. If this guy can avoid traveling a little better( more games) we'll definitely be keeping a eye on him. Also our PTP selection has to go out to 3rd year lead guard Darren Meadows with his floor awareness and aggresiveness. Dropping 9 second half pts. and delivering the ball handling skillz down the stretch... he reminds us why you turn to seniority with the game on the line. For O.M.C.- Regan (missing last week) tried to make up for lost time, keeping his team in the game with a smooth 12 pts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 10:30am--- Saints 35 Holy Family 16 For the Saints-Jimmy Parrella (no not the coach, his son) nailed 3 threes for a team high 9pts. Sinnott and the big fella Gill had 8 & 6 respectively. Both teams missing players due to testing. K. Dugan chipped in with 7pts. to lead H.Family. 11:30am--- St. Helena 42 O. L. O. H. 24 For Our Lady Of Hope- Sam Prescott- scored 15 points, hitting 5of 6 from the line. For St. Helena -Jordan Green again!..... I knew coming into this season he could put 'em up from downtown but this guy was sick wit it. His performance was redicilous nailing 7 threes and going 3 for 4 from the line for 24pts. You can also throw in about 5 dimes, this maybe the best performance in a long time( out side of Justin's 30 a game last season). M. Reyes & T Adkins chipped in with 6 & 8. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12:30pm--- I. H. M. 26 St. Bridget 22 For I.H.M.- Nicky T. can knock down a three, the little guy had 3 for 9pts. Brian C. with some clutch baskets down the stretch also scored 9 points. He provided some defensive stops and major rebounding (has to limit the personal fouls). For St. Bridget- Big Juan Gaskins put together another solid performance with 9 pts. and a ton of boards(one point shy of that double-double). This guy is definitly one of the top 3 rebounders in the league. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1:30pm--- St. Martin 18 St. Benedict 31 For St. Benedict- Braheem Carrol established himself as the best big man in the league with another double-double (16 points). Light day at the office for 'P' (Parrish Grant) 6pts. & a great job with clock management and ball distribution. For St.Martin- That M. Kanell cat again came up big with 12pts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2:30pm--- St. Raymond 10 Holy Cross 17 For Holy Cross- Team Effort was the key....out scoring St.Rays down the stretch 10-1. 'C.C.' (Chris Covington) and 'D.H.' (DeAngelo Harris) showed up this week and controlled the boards at both ends of the floor. Rudy Monteiro nailed two baseline jumpies early in the fourth to put his team ahead for good. For St. Rays- With two time allstar and the league's senior man 'R.J' (Rodney Handy Jr.) finishing up his football duties for the past two games, you could sense luck could run out. But Johnny Barnes almost lead his team down that undefeated path with solid P.G and S.G. play (6 pts). |
