Witnesses say the spark was ignited and the revolution begun at the Steubenville East Youth Conference, Attleboro, MA on a weekend in July. A group of 2,700 teens and their adult leaders were so touched by the presence of the Holy Spirit in their hearts and souls that they have decided to fight the great battle for their Father. Among this crowd of thousands were 21 cyoers and 6 chaperones from St. Francis of Assisi.
Inside the giant main tent at the Steubenville weekend, the revolution was alive and well. The encouragement of dynamic speakers, both religious and lay persons, amazing live music, uplifting Mass and, of course, face to face conversation with our Lord in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, allowed for  the Lord to transform their minds and hearts during the weekend, to begin a revolution inside them, so that they would desire to commit themselves to a life as sons and daughters, not of the world, but of Christ. Steubenville East opened their eyes to their own personal needs for a revolution in thier hearts, as well as, the world's need for a Catholic revolution in society.
Within the comfort zone of the tents at Steubenville East, surrounded by fellow believers in the Church, participants were unashamed to speak of thier faith, to sing their hearts out to the Lord and to show their love of Christ. The Revolution seemed easy.
Things have changed, however, and as the days pass, that fire within each of them might begin to shrink, until just a flicker remains. Daily life in our often un- Christian society will begin to eat away at them once again. That is when the fight  truly begins.
The cyoers of St. Francis of Assisi, however, are not going to let the flame die out. They will stand up for the Father and for the truths of the Catholic Church. After all,  the didn't travel "
all the way to Massachusetts" for nothing. They are determined... they will "rise up and go against the flow", both as individuals and as a group. They will help to win the battle. But help is the key word... it can't be done alone. They are desperately seeking persons to join them in this great revolution, whether it be on Sunday nights in Fr. Greenan Hall,  or by rising up for their own faith each day.
The Revolution has been started...as members of the Church, it is our
OBLIGATION to keep it going strong.
Please join in the great battle.

Welcome, this site is for the St. Francis CYO, I just took it over, so give it some time until things are back to where they were.  It's a great thing that Sarah set this up a few years ago, and hopefully we can get it so that people are visiting it frequesntly, thing that I hope to add are a rundown of the past meetings, (sorry i missed the last one).  Well that is all for now, enjoy the site.
