| HEAVEN When the break of sunlight zooms from the horizon, I see heaven. Its white rays spray from the sea. I hear the angels sing and the trumpets play. The clouds are puffy and wide with glints of gold and silver. The sun is a golden ball filling the sky with light and color. I saw heaven. I'M SORRY I'm sorry about you. I'm sorry about me. I'm sorry about your misery. I'm sorry about love. I'm sorry about hate. I'm sorry about making you wait. I'm sorry about life. I'm sorry about death. I'm sorry about being depressed. I'm sorry about yours. I'm sorry about mine. I'm sorry about not being on time. I'm sorry about together.? I'm sorry about alone. I'm sorry about making you read this poem. NOISE There is no silence in this room. Broken glass is shattering my mind. The beating heart is deaf in my ears. The screaming skin, deaf to my brain. All I hear is this madness. Paranoid in this little corner. The sound waves bounce off the tiny walls. The empty spaces fill so quickly The little holes are drowned with noise. I open my eyes and see dead nothing. But the noise is absorbed in my body. SILENCE Hollow, hollow, in my head. Nothing ringing, nothing said. I spin around in this dead room. I see the stars, the sky, the moon. The buzzards scream. The world is seen. But I hear nothing. Empty, empty, in my brain. The deafness comes to a drain. I walk around this little space. I'm, losing, losing, loss the race. My ears are strained, my eyes bloodshot. My body's dead, I've been shot. But all I hear is silence. YOU I can't sleep. Oh how I'd kill. For your voice is a sleeping pill. I'm so hungry. I pull my hair. Because you're a steak. Cooked medium rare. I'm so thirsty. I cannot think. Quench my thirst. With your drink. |
