Ethiopia
The Oromo people live in the region of Ethiopia called Oromia. The population of the Oromo people is about 35 million. It is the largest nationality in East Africa. The Oromo people have their own traditions and culture. The cultural foods include cuukkoo, bunaqalaa, caroorsaa (yogurt and butter), ittoo indaan qoo (chicken), and buddeenaa (injera). The people drink coffee.  The language of the Oromo people is Oromiffa.  It is a very old language.

The Oromo people raise cattle, sheep, and goats.  They also grow different crops including boqqolloo (maize or corn) and taafii (a brown grain called teff in Amharic).  Buddeenaa is made from taafii.
