news - rumba chat transcript

Abe Forsythe: Hey everyone! Hows it going?

Lauren: Have you seen many Rumba stars yet?
Abe Forsythe: All of them! The security guards have to hold them all back from meeting me! Emma Bunton wanted to grab a lock of my hair apparently.

Crazyaboutu: How did you get your role on Always Greener?
Abe Forsythe: Just through the audition process.

Maria: How old are you?
Abe Forsythe: I'm 20 years old.

Dani: What's Scott Major like as a flatmate?
Abe Forsythe: He's a great guy to live with. But he's very messy!

I_love_Lee_Ryan: Who are you most looking forward to seeing at Rumba?
Abe Forsythe: I was looking forward to seeing Mandy and Geri but unfortunately they cancelled!

Chicken: Do you enjoy acting?
Abe Forsythe: Yes, I enjoy acting. It's the best job in the world and its heaps of fun.

Crazyaboutu: Do you look on the Always Greener website?
Abe Forsythe: I do. I check it out once a week or so. Scott and I usually take a look together.

MM: Have you always wanted to be an actor? Or do you have other aspirations and dreams?
Abe Forsythe: I stumbled into acting and have just kept doing it. But I'm seeing what other opportunities are out there in the same industry.

Mrs_Jones: What is your favourite way to spend a Sunday?
Abe Forsythe: Just relaxing. Sundays are usually my only day off, but I usually end up cleaning up after Scott!

Carrot: What actor would you most like to meet?
Abe Forsythe: Steve Martin.

Chicken: What's it like being famous?
Abe Forsythe: I have no idea! I get recognised quite often, but what can I say? I'm in it for the glamour!

Maria: How many hours of work do you do a day?
Abe Forsythe: It depends, but it can be anywhere from one hour to 12-13 hours.

Benson: What do you like doing in your spare time (when you're not cleaning up after Scott)?
Abe Forsythe: Umm ... kayaking, crochet, jazz ballet. No just kidding! I just like hanging out and relaxing.

Lauren: Do you get along with your co-stars?
Abe Forsythe: Yes, we all get along very well.

Jen: Have you signed many autographs today?
Abe Forsythe: Not yet... but we're heading down to sign autographs very soon.

SJS: Is anyone else in your family an actor?
Abe Forsythe: Yes, my father is. He's been an actor for 30 years.

Maria: Has anybody cried when they have met you?
Abe Forsythe: Emma Bunton! Just kidding! No... not yet.

Chanelle: Do you reply your fan mail?
Abe Forsythe: Yes I do... I always make an effort to reply. Keep those letters coming!

Jen: What other shows have you appeared in?
Abe Forsythe: Lots of guest appearances in shows such as Water Rats, and some kids shows.

Mash: Do you like chatting to other people on the net? I'm enjoying chatting to you!
Abe Forsythe: I do enjoy it. But I hardly ever get the time to do it.

Erin: How do you manage to learn all your lines?
Abe Forsythe: It's very easy once you spend the time going over them. It soon becomes like second nature. You don't have to try and remember them.

Maria: Do you have any brothers and sisters? And if you do, how many do you have?
Abe Forsythe: I have an older sister.

Chicken: What do you plan to do with the rest of your life after acting? Or will you just continue pursuing it?
Abe Forsythe: I want to continue to pursue an acting career as long as I can.

Hey: What's some of the weirdest things fans have done when they've met you?
Abe Forsythe: Haha! Sometimes they ask me to send messages to people who work on Home and Away!

Clare: Is this your first permanent acting job?
Abe Forsythe: Yes. But I have done some other long-running television and stage jobs before.

Maria: Are you anything like your character?
Abe Forsythe: Not really. Which is a good thing... I get to go in and start from scratch. We do look the same though!

Erin: Do you spend much time with the people from Home and Away?
Abe Forsythe: Only at work events usually, like today at Rumba.

Erin: Are you hoping to get a Logie any time soon?
Abe Forsythe: Yes! I'm going for the Gold Logie.

Allan: Who are your favourite music groups?
Abe Forsythe: Gomez, Fiona Apple and Hanson. I like Nikki Webster too! No, my favourites are Gomez and Fiona Apple.

Lauren: You so do not look 20, what's your secret?
Abe Forsythe: It's a combination of things. My hair and wardrobe are different in the show. Ive run out of time to chat but its been great to speak to you all today. Enjoy the show!
