Okay this is really short but then again it just sort of wrote itself. This is a hard day for most people and even harder for those directly effected by what happened. I only hope that with the passing of the last year you were able to find some closure to those events. I had to stop once today already as a realized that I did the exact same thing today as I did last year. It was a bit unnerving. So I guess the only other thing I wish to say is that even though I can't name the people, who died last year, I still mourn there passing. May everyone find a bit of peace today and take just a few seconds to remember where they were last year and to remember the people who died.

Blair sat quietly on the balcony of the loft just watching the people below. It was hard to believe that it had already been a year since the tragic events in New York and D.C. had unfolded. He hadn't known anyone that had been killed or had even been in the three buildings when they were hit, but that didn't stop him from mourning there deaths. To him many of the people who died are both faceless and nameless, but that doesn't make them any less real to Blair. They were all still living people who were going about their normal lives and when the time came many were unable to say goodbye to their love ones. In many ways, this made things worst, because people were not complete sure if their families were truly dead or just lost in the confusion.
Now it was the one years anniversary and people were afraid once more that something like this might happen again. Police and security at airports was increased in hopes of stopping any who might believe that this was the perfect day to do it again. That was why Blair was sitting here instead of out working. Both Jim and himself had volunteered their service this day to help patrol SeaTac so he was just waiting until it was time to go. There were times that he wished he didn't have the gun and badge. He wanted to be back teaching, not that he ever told Jim this, but there were still those times. However, right now he was glad that he was a cop because it meant that he could help. They were unable to stop and change the events of a year ago, but they would be able to help make sure that they never happened again. Life went on but Blair was convinced that he would do everything that he could to make sure that people didn't have to watch such a tragedy occur again.
