FINDING PEOPLE
I would like to say a word about finding people.  I have encountered some people who will find a name that matches who they are looking for but do not consider other information such as age.

For example:  Automatically declaring kids as the children of the head of household on a census without taking into consideration that a child is too old to be that persons child..

Also, your ancestor is probably not the only person with their name, so just consider the information you find as a "possibility" until you find further confirmation.
