When I count my blessings this is one guy that way up there on the list. For those of you that don't know this fellow let me introduce a dear friend of mine, John C. Hancock. I once heard somewhere that a friend is someone that if you called them in the middle of the night and told them you needed them to "come now" and then you added that you "needed them to crawl" the only reponse you would receive is "How fast do I need to crawl" ...................... I could fill page after page of the times that John and I have shared together, much laughter, and some tears. More than once I have tried to capture the thoughts and feelings that incompass old tried and true friendships, and set them to pen. Those words of expression have always eluded me, as they do now.......... |

Recently John called me and told me that an old friend of ours Kent Garrard was coming down for a visit. Kent lives in Washington state and we don't get to see him as often as we would like. The last time I had seen Kent was in 1996, I was trilled to hear that he was coming. John called me and told me that we where going to get together and "Fry Fish" now John is absolutely the best fish frier that I know of, he has it down pat. Anyway I snapped a couple of pictures while we were were looking at pictures of kids that have now grown up, and out on there own. We laughed and shared many "OLD" stories. My how they get a bigger each time we tell them.....We had a wonderful time. |
