A wild mamma kangaroo with her little child in her pouch! In most cases, wild kangaroos tend to escape before being approached too near. But I was so lucky that I managed to touch her soft fur when she was eating grass peacefully! And I clearly perceived the baby staring at me curiously!

Echidna. Only found in Australia. Fully armoured with hundreds of spines, she is a mild and peaceful animal. She is one of the mascots of the Olympics Sydney 2000 as well.

She is so near to me! And she is napping, so cute! But it is illegal to touch them in Kangaroo Island according to the ordinance of that state. What a cruel ordinance!
