Research Interest

My official profile page at HPCSU
Scientific mathematical modelling and development of numerical / computational algorithms.
Algorithm development for supercomputers such as vector machines or SMP and distributed parallel machines.
Symbolic computations, object oriented methodology and optimization algorithms like Genetic Algorithms and Artificial Neural Networks.
Theoretical modelling and finite element formulation of laminated composite with piezoelectric actuators and sensors.
Optimising the usage of piezoelectrics in smart structures. Possible applications in vibration and shape control of smart structures.
Future Interest: The use of piezoelectric vibration control technology in large space structures and space stations. Vibration problems could be quite significant in zero-gravity environment due to the lack of external environmental damping sources such as gravity and friction present on Earth. The vision is to make piezoelectrics a cost effective, elegant and reliable method of structural control.
