| My name is Cyrous Darius Bagheri, I am taking this class at Thomas Nelson during the summer because I am trying to catch up on my classes so that I can graduate sometime soon. I was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and love it very much, I love the state of Virginia and I think it has very much to offer. I graduated from Grafton High School in Yorktown, Virginia. It used to really bother me when people in high school used to down our area and say that they hated it because there was nothing to do. In my opinion there is a whole lot going on in this area and I consider myself privileged to call Virginia my home. |

| I consider myself to be a very unique individual who loves to enjoy every aspect of life. I am very easy to get along with and like to have a wide variety of friends. I am really looking forward to this summer mainly because last summer I couldn't do anything because I had surgery on a torn ACL in my knee. I enjoy many things and I do not get bored very easily. I love going to Virginia Beach, I think it is a great atmosphere whether you are just hanging out in the sand and water, of if you are enjoying the nightlife. I also enjoy going shopping and eating out, I think our area has much to offer in that department. I am also a huge sports fan, I probably watch more sports than anybody I ever meet. I love music as well and am very diverse in what I listen too. My family loves to travel so naturally I have adopted strong feelings for visiting many different places in our country. I am currently going to school at Roanoke Bible College which is a small religious school in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. I play basketball for my college and plan on becoming a P.E. teacher and basketball coach after I graduate. |

| My family situation is a little bit different than most, my dad is from Iran, and came to the U.S. when he was 18 years old. My mother is from America and I have one brother who is 2 years younger than me, his name is Keyan. We are going through a really difficult time as a family right now my dad used to own a business that was doing very well, he did most of his work in the western part of the state and in Tennessee so he bought a house in Tennessee. A couple years ago he told us that he had been cheating on my mother and so while they were in the process of getting a divorce he got into drugs and continued making poor decisions. He was arrested for the distribution of drugs, and his life started taking a downward spiral. He is currently in jail for 2nd degree murder and faces a trial this summer. So my family is really going through an interesting time right now, and we are in lots of transition, but I know that through the grace of God we will make it and everything will be okay. |
