HOW TO GO TO HEAVEN

     Everyone has sinned.  The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).  I have sinned.  All the best church members have sinned at some time in their lives.  If you are honest, you will admit that you have sinned.  Right?

 

     In fact, the Bible says that if anyone says that she has not sinned, she is a liar (I John 1:10).  "There is none righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10).

 

     "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one unto his own way" (Isaiah 53:6).  Many people are "lost" like stray sheep.  To be "lost" means you don't know the way.  Have you strayed from God's way and tried to live life your own way?

 

     "THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).  The wages, or result, of sin is death.  This means spiritual death, or separation from God.  That may not sound very bad, but realize this:  spiritual death leads to Hell, which is an everlasting Lake of Fire.  Revelation 20:15 says, "And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire."

 

     Hey, I know that sounds heavy, but do not worry.  I have GOOD NEWS for you!  Even though you have sinned, you do not have to go to Hell!

 

     THE FREE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord!  Eternal life means living in Heaven forever and also having a life of love, joy, peace, and abundance while you are still here in this life.  Does it sound too good to be true?  Many people have missed it because it is so easy.

 

     Here is how:

 

     JESUS SAID, "BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK:  if anyone hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and sup with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20).

 

     Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart.  If you will simply open the door of your heart by asking him to come in, He will.  He will come into your heart and life to dwell in you and make you a new creature.  You will be on the road to Heaven.  You will have eternal life!

 

     Isn't that what you want?

 

     Turn away from your sin today and pray this prayer:

 

     "Father-God, I have sinned.  I am sorry for my sins.  Please forgive me.  I open my heart by faith right now and ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and live in me.  Thank You for saving and forgiving me.  I promise that I will live my life for You as You teach me Your ways.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.
