UPDATE FOR AUGUST (Posted 8/16/02)
Things are going well in Florida. Becky and I have been very busy. I'm working at an Air Conditioning company now and with the summer Florida heat I've been very busy. I've also been quite busy working on securing the patent for my new invention. I've run into a few snags, but my lawyer tells me it should all come through any day now and the money should start rolling in.
Becky is still working at the Veterinary Clinic. She's enjoying it still although it's been very busy and stressful. She has been feeling somewhat better since she started training for the 2004 Olympic team. The excercise has been very good for her. I told her not to get her hopes up too much as it is still not definate that competitive sarcasm will on the '04 event schedule. She is very excited though and as her practice target, I can tell you that she's doing really well.
Bailey is doing very well although she is getting old and kind of irksome. She has not fully recovered from the poor results that she got when she took the state bar exam. She has been hanging around the house all day drinking heavily and napping. We are encouraging her to study hard and try again.
Jack is actually a little sick, the doctor's think he might have cancer. His spirits are good though and he is making the most of his last days by taking up water skiing and sky diving. It has been a real joy to watch. I think that by combining the two sports he has really started a trend. All of the proceeds from his jumps are going to set up the Jack Patterson memorial fund which will provide chew toys for homeless dogs in the Broward County area.
