Meet in front of Phipps Conservatory to carpool/caravan towards Washington, PA, where we will park and then ride to several covered bridge sites as part of the Washington/Greene County Covered Bridge Festival. We have picked out 3 bridges that are clustered near each other, so we will probably do about 12-15 miles of riding in total. Bring some water or other beverage, and there are plenty of food options at the bridge sites for lunch (usually burgers/hot dogs and typical carnival food). We will plan on returning to Oakland between 2 and 3 p.m., or if you need to return sooner that is fine. If you have any questions about this ride, or to help us with carpooling plans, please drop a line to let us know if you plan to attend. This is a great event, and since we will be on bikes, slow drivers on country roads won't be a bother at all. Oh, and don't forget to bring along a camera to capture some great scenic views!
