This is what's taking up space on my side of the garage at the moment.
Plus my mountain bike, and the frame for my tourer. Once I've got some
spare cash (if there is such a thing) I'll be getting it restored to it's
former glory.
My fixie
My fixed gear is the bike I built using the frame that my uncle Peter gave me,
which is fantastic for training - no gears and no opporuntity to freewheel - ever.
Every uphill is a struggle to maintain forward momentum, and every downhill
is a fight with the bike to keep it under control, using muscles I didn't have
before I started riding it.
The Yellow Peril
The Yellow Peril is the bike I had to buy 300 miles into the charity bike ride that
my mate Chris and I did last year. The wretched, brutal hills of Cornwall and Devon
destroyed the bottom bracket of the bike and I had to trawl the bike shops of
Hereford looking for a replacement. This is what I ended up with. A joy to ride and
much more mechanically reliable than my Trek, which cost more than 3 times as much.
My Trek 1000
This is my (second) best bike after my tourer, and the one that sees most use. It's not proven to be very reliable, but the frame is nice and light. I'd like to upgrade further down the line, but I've got some goals to achieve first! No new bike until I can do a ten mile TT in less than 30 minutes...
Caroline's Trek 1000
I love my bike! It is red and white. By Caroline, aged 31 and a bit.
