Dear Members,

Thank you for being a part of this wonderful club at Yahoo entitled the CyberPoet’s Niche.   The scope of this Club is to gather together a wide range of poets from around the globe to discuss and share their work and great poetry.   It is my intention for this Club, as well as my Co-founder's, Angel-Pie's, to present a cozy atmosphere where you can share your poetic style and exchange ideas with other poets.   Angel-Pie and I wish to make this your Club.

If anybody has any suggestions for the club or wishes to contribute any columns to this Newletter, please contact the Founders of the Club.

The Cyber Poet Niche Club now has it's own webpage.   You can view our homepage at the following address: http://www.geocities.com/cyberpoetsniche.   I would like to give thanks to Angel-Pie for her help in giving the CyberPoet’s Niche Club it's first official website.

The CyberPoet’s Niche Club’s website features the scope of this Club and has a section posting all Club news.   It also has a FAQ section where members can post questions about copyright and publication of their work.   The Website also has a section of the Club’s familiar writings, as well as a section of poetry related links.

Addendum from the Webmaster:

This month (between May 20 and June 20) contributions were added to the showcase pages for the following members: RomusthePoet, OldCusser, IdentityMatrix, FaeriMuse, Isitis, MGonzalez01, Telescope07, EnchantedWords (crowstouch), and AngelPie_Mouse (or for nine of our ten showcase members). You may view these additions by clicking the name.

We also added to our Interactive Poem and our listing of URLs for poetry sites and sites on writing aids.

If you are a member of Cyber Poet's Niche Yahoo Chat Club and do not currently have a Showcase Page representing your work on the message board, it because we have not yet received your permission to reprint your work which is necessary to prevent question of copyright infringement. We want you here too. You may obtain a copy of the permission form on this website by clicking here, or see the page Showcase Questionnaire from the Main Index page of this website.

We also welcome your articles and notes and information on websites you think would be of interest to your fellow poets and poetry lovers.

Every month there is a new Group Poem at the CyberPoet’s Niche Club.   It begins on the 20th of the previous month, with this newsletter, and concludes a few days before (so we can go to press with it).   This work is a special poem woven by each of the members of the CyberPoet’s Niche (that is: all members are welcome to contribute in open forum).   This month, for the month of June, the topic was "freedom of speech", and the Club composed this poem:

Voice

These be words, beliefs Why I say "I ain't got none right now" Improper! The reason I praise Jesus at most Atheist conventions      (NALewis)

Don't let fear paralyze Your vocal chords, my freind It is our God given rights, you must realize And this the Constitution does deffend Freedom to speek what's on your mind Freedom, beautiful freedom to blurt out what you feel... The timid will answer "but we must be politically correct. We must avoid any chance to offend." Or, is that reserved for only "them?" A new form of prejudice Or, perhaps, an old in new clothes. It is difficult to tell in silence --who and why and how condemn.      (AngelPie_Mouse)

Let us with One voice spread the word

Like wildfire, and in unison, let us voice together And for once as a whole be heard! And spread our message with One Voice... This is our Constitutional Rights! It will always be forever! With confidence, we do have a choice... We can open our mouths together and express our opinions Whatever they may be.... Be respected for what we say... And still retain our dignity...
